Michael Warburton is the Marketing Brand Manager for the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. In his 14 years with the non-profit Zoological Society of San Diego, Michael’s proven ability to assess process and improve quality and efficiency has led to the management of a hybridized creative process, blending both in-house and agency creative resources for excellent idea development and maximized execution. This process has been an award-winning one – most recently, the San Diego Zoo has been recognized by the attraction, hotel and travel, and advertising industries, for quality of creative execution, as well as for depth of marketing integration.
Michael also manages media strategy and buying for the organization, leading new initiatives with media planning each year. Michael believes in understanding all aspects of a process, and applies his variety of marketing, design, and production experiences to every project. He is currently a San Diego Museum Council board member, on the board of the San Diego Ad Club, as well as a member of the Balboa Park Marketing Committee.
