Greg Joumas
VP, Advertising & Marketing Communicationss at Jack in the Box

Greg is a product of Detroit growing up in Royal Oak, Michigan.  While attending Michigan State University, which he received a BA in Advertising and was an assistant to Professor Jim Cash the screenwriter of Top Gun, he interned two summers at WB Doner Advertising before working there after graduating.

Greg started at Doner as an Assistant Broadcast Producer and then an Account Executive on the New England Ford Dealers, Greater Michigan Ford Dealers, Chicagoland Pontiac Dealers and Southern California Pontiac Dealers associations accounts.

He was recruited to Bozell Advertising/Detroit, starting as an Account Executive and moving up to Management Supervisor overseeing Jeep and Eagle national advertising and collateral.

GMO Advertising/San Francisco came calling and Greg became Account Director on rolling out Kia Motors America during its early years.

He then moved to Euro RSCG/San Francisco as VP Global Account Director on Intel consumer advertising.  During his tenure the account won a One Show Gold Pencil and one of ADWEEK’s best TV commercials of the ‘90’s.

In 1999, he moved to San Diego and joined Jack in the Box as VP of Advertising and Marketing Communications, a position he held for 11 years.  300+ TV spots, new logo and other fun things.  During his tenure the company enjoyed numerous years of same-store-sales growth and won numerous EFFIES and 2 Cannes Gold Lions.

In 2009, Greg was recruited to be SVP, Group Account Director at The Martin Agency on the Pizza Hut account, which he was one of the leaders of the pitch team.  They subsequently were named ADWEEK agency of the year for 2010.

San Diego was too much to give up so now he’s back consulting and teaching.  By the way, it is 70 degrees today and my 3 dogs are in the pool again.
