Ad 2 SD January, 2012 President’s Report

Happy New Year! I hope you are rested and ready to hit the ground running in 2012, cause we sure are here at Ad 2 SD. I kick off my video report highlighting this year’s ADDY’s competition, where our theme is Super ADDY Justice league. My VP Chelsea and I combed he city as our alter egos Captain Awesome, and Shape Shifter personally inviting creative heroes like yourself to enter. The ADDY’s a great way to get your work noticed, so I highly recommend everyone submitting work. The deadline for ADDY’s are January 27, 2012, so don’t procrastinate submit your ADDY. I sat down and got a chance to get to know our January Membership Spotlight Mitch Dong pretty well during our 1:1 Skype video interview. No he’s not a Jonas Brother. Ad 2 San Diego December 2011 President’s Report

Hello Ad 2'ers, I Can't believe 2011 is already over! It has been one crazy year full of lots of fun and laughs. Last month I attended the Ad 2 Mid Year Retreat in Madison WI with my Partner in Crime, Director at Large Anthony Miller. We had a lot of fun, and brought back tons of ideas to help improve the club. At the end of last month we had our Annual Cause Marketing Night to help raise money for our Public Service client My Girlfriend's Closet, and it was a HUGE success. Thank you to all the agencies that participated in the art auction, and BIG Thanks to Chipotle for donating the food. Hope you're ready for 2012, cause we have alot on the horizon. Wewill be kicking off off the year with our January board meeting on Tuesday Jan 9 at 6:30 pm. We are shaking it up and kicking off the new year at The Foundy in Northpark. Stay tuned for more info. Finally on Jan 19th we are doing a joint event with SD Ad Club and will have Richard Demato who is the CEO of Common host a panel session w/ Simon Mainwaring & Dan Burrier. You're not going to want to miss this one! I hope everyone has a safe and happy Holiday season and I'll see you in 2012! Hello Ad 2'ers, This month my president's report is a tribute to the late Steve Jobs who was an icon and inspiration to us all. I cover 3 main topics: 1. Ad 2 San Diego October 2011 President’s Report

This month my president's report was filmed on location at the AAF Western Region conference in Palm Springs. I was accompanied with my Ad 2 SD Exec team, where we picked up plenty of tips that we plan on executing straight away. In addition we got a chance to have some bonding time with our buddies to the north Ad 2 OC. Ad 2 San Diego September 2011 President’s Report

Hey Fellow Ad 2 Peeps, This month my president's report was shot on location during our 5th Annual Pub Crawl. This year our theme was Boats & Hoes, and we spent the afternoon swashbuckling down the PB strip. This year we had the pleasure in partnering with Google Places, and came loaded with tons of Google Swag. They even held a contest for pub crawl attendees where they gave away a flip cam to the person that provided the most reviews on Google Places. Stay tuned for the winner to be announced shortly. This year's pub crawl was truly one for the history books. We met up with a running of the bulls crawl, and were asked to holster our pistols at Cabo Cantina. Networking can't get any better than this! Hopefully you like the quality this this month's video. It was taken with my brand new Sony HDR-CX700 camera. Hey Ad 2-ers, This month I kept it serious with my president's report so that I can focus on delivering the news and what we have been up to. With the new year in full swing we are continuing do build on the commitment that we put in place last year to drive value to our members, and this year we are trying something new. We know how hard it can be to go to every event, meet new people, and network. Therefore we are assigning a board member to every member, and they will be your buddies over the next 12 months. Consider them your Ad 2 SD Sherpa, and their job is to guide you through the waters of Ad 2 SD. Expect someone to reach out to your shortly, and make an introduction. Ad 2 SD July 2011 President’s Report

We just finished our board retreat and the team is energized and ready for another exciting year. One of our main goals for the year is to continue to drive value for our membership. The team is working hard to provide programming that educates and broadens your horizons. In addition will be continuing to leverage our ties with the San Diego Ad Club and other local organizations to provide access to the city’s top executives so that you can continue to excel in your career. This month I had our executive board give you the 411 on their goals for the year to get you pumped up. Are you interested in getting involved? We are still in search of copywriters, someone that knows PR, and bubbly/outgoing professionals to join our membership team. If you or someone that you know fits that description have them reach out to me or better yet come out to our next board meeting which is the first Tuesday of the month from 6:30-7:30 at the SD Ad Club office in Hillcrest. Ad 2 SD June 2011 President’s Report

We are finally coming down from the high of ADMERICA, and I have to say the first annual ADMERICA conference was AWESOME! If you missed it, then you missed out on a historic event. We really out did ourselves! From the content of Interactive Day to all the after parties it was a first class event. In addition to ADMERICA it was also a memorable week for the whole San Diego marketing/advertising/communications community as we came together to celebrate the San Diego Ad Club's 100th anniversary and recognize the top 100 San Diego brands. Then we kept it classy on a boat and sailed the harbor in true San Diego style. BIG THANKS to everyone who helped contribute to such a stellar event. It’s been an exhausting year, but we are keeping the momentum going. We just finished our elections and have an All-Star board lined up. Everyone is pumped up and ready to provide value to our largest membership ever. If you are interested in getting involved it's not too late.
