Cause Marketing Night
Each year Ad 2 San Diego takes on a nonprofit client in which they deliver a full scale marketing and advertising campaign at no cost to the client. Cause Marketing Night is an event to highlight these efforts, show off work that’s been done in years past, showcase the new nonprofit partner and to help educate the community on how they can incorporate social responsibility into their own organizations.
This Year’s Event
Cause Marketing Night 2011 will include drinks, appetizers, speakers and an auction of artwork. The auction will feature original artwork created by top local ad agencies and will help to raise money for My Girlfriend’s Closet and the campaign’s promotional efforts by Ad 2 San Diego.
The event will highlight speaker and cause marketing professional, Brian P. Hawkins. Brian is co-founder and vice president of Catalyst Marketing, Inc., a San Diego-based marketing consulting company. Brian speaks five languages and has created integrated marketing campaigns and special events for corporations in the U.S. and Europe that include AT&T (France), Kellogg’s (Italy), and the America’s Cup Organizing Committee.
About My Girlfriends Closet
My Girlfriend’s Closet is a San Diego based nonprofit organization that aims to help cloth fostered young women and kids. One thing that makes My Girlfriend’s Closet even more unique, they’re run by girls the same age as those they help. Mother and Daughter duo’s make up the volunteer base that started this organization and keeps it running day to day. My Girlfriend’s Closet receives gently used clothing which can be given back to low income or fostered teen women and girls ages 12-22.
About Ad 2 San Diego
Ad 2 San Diego is an organization for people age 32 and under who are members of the San Diego advertising, marketing, and communication community, and those interested in those fields. Ad 2 San Diego helps create future advertising and marketing industry leaders through education, leadership development and networking programs. As the young professionals division of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), Ad 2 San Diego assists, educates and entertains its members through social activities, educational industry events, membership meetings, leadership workshops, community service, and participation in National Ad 2 and AAF contests.
