President:  Emily Rose Schmidt

Takes pride in her love of travel and tackles any challenge, business or personal, with determination. It make her the perfect fit as our fearless leader at Ad 2 San Diego. She currently works as a digital marketing consultant at Seer Interactive and dreams of becoming a digital nomad. Having been a part of Ad 2 for a few years serving in several roles as a member and committee chair she was thrilled to step up for the role as president in 2016. She’ll be the first to say that she couldn’t do it without her awesome team. That’s why we all love her in return.

In the business world it is essential to network.  I decided to join Ad2 to network but after attending a few events I learned that it had more to offer than networking including fun activites and opportunities for learning.  This is my first year on the executive board, and I serve as Vice President.  My hope is for members to get the most of this organization whether that be job opportunities, fun events, or gaining knowledge on an unknown topic.  Outside of Ad2, I work as a Communications Analyst for San Diego State University.  I love living in San Diego and exploring the outdoors.

Secretary: Briana Gibson

I’m a self described entrepreneur with a creative flair. Aside from my many creative outlets like digital illustration, podcasting and dance I work with small businesses to solve their problems to become more productive and more profitable. In 2015 when I moved to San Diego I joined Ad 2 right away to establish a network of like minded individuals that I could grow to learn from and contribute to in my own unique ways. My favorite part of serving with this team is friendship. We are able to build on each other strengths to produce something greater than we can do alone. That is so important to remember as a creative entrepreneur!

Treasurer: Desiree Roughton

In the words of Albert Einstein, “I have no special talent, I’m only passionately curious.” My day job involves writing things that make people, businesses and things sound as awesome as they are. I’m into electronic dance music, small business marketing, personal finance and food. I was born in Riverside and grew up when I moved to San Diego in 2007 to become an SDSU Aztec for life. I have no plans to ever leave this city, which I consider to be the greatest in the world. #WhyAd2? As one of the few Ad2ers not living the agency life, I’m here to stay connected to the industry and spend time with awesome people at similar points in their career.
