(This committee is only offered by Ad 2, not Ad Club) - Each year a non-profit organization is selected. The PS Committee acts like a mini ad agency to design an entire ad campaign for them - completely pro-bono. We compete nationally with the other Ad 2s each June at the annual AAF Conference. The National Ad 2 PS Campaign is widely recognized in this industry. If you're looking to gain ad agency experience or always wanted to try out graphic designer or media placement skills, this is an excellent place to learn (and did we mention it looks fabulous on your resume?)
You would be our personal promoter for the club. At each event, you would help recruit new members and help make everyone feel welcome at the event. Other Board members will help you do this, but it will be your responsibility to attend the majority of our events and greet everyone. You will also distribute phone tree lists among our board to make sure all of our club members are informed of upcoming events and have personal contact with the club.
The Student ADDYs are the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting over 50,000 entries every year in local ADDY competitions. This committee works closely with the Ad Club to coordinate logistics for the judging and award show for this event.
Are you known as the “Fun Captain” among your friends? Then we need you. You would run monthly mixers and work closely with the Education Committee to ensure events are exciting and profitable. Keep contacts with AMA, PRSA (New Pros, and other industry clubs).
You would help manage our website and create the copy and graphics for our invitations and collateral. You may also help publish newsletters to keep members interested and informed.
You will plan out signature “Beyond the Classroom” events. You will brainstorm hot topics and acquire speakers to educate graduating students and new professionals. This position is a great way to make new contacts in the industry. Always ask around for speaker recommendations! Keep in contact with local schools and their industry-related clubs (Ad Club, AMA, etc) to inform them of our events and vice-versa.

Projects and programs designed to build effective relations with local, state and national governments, monitoring legislative activity that affects the Advertising Industry, keep our membership up-to-date on issues affecting our agencies, and create useful links for the Ad2 website and newsletter.
