The San Diego Humane Society and SPCA has been providing over 125 years of service to the pet lovers of San Diego County. As a private nonprofit organization that receives no public or government funding, the San Diego Humane Society was selected by AD 2 San Diego as this year’s beneficiary of a pro bono advertising campaign to educate the public about the many programs that they offer.
The San Diego Humane Society and SPCA provides many services to animals and people alike. They assist in the adoption and shelter of animals as well as providing positive reinforcement training, investigating animal cruelty, providing adult and youth education, sharing animals through pet-assisted therapy, and rescuing animals in emergency situations. Our goal will be to increase awareness that San Diego Humane Society & SPCA provides much more than just adoption services and to increase the number of people that use these services.
Every year, AD 2 San Diego offers their services to a local nonprofit. After going through an extensive selection process, AD 2 San Diego decided that The San Diego Human Society’s needs would best fit the resources that AD 2 San Diego has to offer.
In June 2008, AD 2 chapters across the nation will present this year’s campaigns in a public service competition at the American Advertising Federation’s National Conference. While clubs compete for scholarships and of course, bragging rights, these campaigns are real and they make a real difference in communities.
